Ultimate Light Controller
Do you have a rig with a single LED at each rear corner? This is an LED that is meant to operate as the brake light, running light and turn signal.
This controller will get it done! It also has outputs for the front turn signals and headlights and a lightbar/aux light/rock lights. See more details in the photo, and please watch the video.

More details:
This controller connects in such a way as to monitor the steering and throttle servo signals. It uses this information to know when to operate the turn signals and the brake and reverse lights. It also plugs into a three-position channel in order to operate the headlight and lightbar (aux/rock light) outputs. When that channel is in positon one, then the headlight and lightbar outputs are off. Positon one turns on the headlight output and also causes the turn signals and brake lights (if the brakes aren't on) to glow. This is to simulate running lights (sometimes called park lights).
When the brake lights have been on for about fifteen seconds, the hazard lights are activated. This means the front turn signals and the brake lights will begin to flash. They will continue to flash until the throttle control is moved. If you don't want to use the auto hazard light function, just clip (and insulate the ends) the orange wire loop as show in the photo.
The turn signal LEDs are fed power so as to emulate having a tungsten filament. Their brightness will ramp up and down to behave as though they heat up and produce light and cool down as they go dark.
If you notice that the reverse lights turn on when going forward and off when going reverse, you can adjust the motor and transmitter to correct this or you can cut (and insulate the ends) the white wire loop.
The lights connect as per the OUTPUT PINOUT in the drawing, or use this:
- WHITE - LIGHTBAR
- WHITE - HEADLIGHT
- YELLOW - LEFT FRONT TURN
- RED - RIGHT FRONT TURN
- YELLOW - LEFT BRAKE TURN
- RED - RIGHT BRAKE TURN
- WHITE - REVERSE
When a light is turned on, receiver voltage is switched to the LED output.
Recomend using a 220 ohm resistor for each LED.
