Overview

Compact controller that adds true linear rear-wheel steering to 2 or 3-position CH3 radio setups. Convert a simple three-channel transmitter into a four-wheel or crab-steer rig without rewiring your transmitter or adding extra channels.

How it works

Set CH3 to one of its positions and the controller changes rear behavior: locked center, rear follows front for tighter turns, or rear opposes front for crab steering.
When follow or oppose is active, the rear servo tracks the front servo proportionally. Travel limits (end point adjustments) cap rear movement so the servo and linkages are never overstressed.
Use the trim control to correct any bias so the vehicle runs straight when the wheel is released.

Modes for 3-position CH3

Position 1: Rear locked in center.
Position 2: Rear follows the front servo for four-wheel steering and tighter turning radius.
Position 3: Rear opposes the front servo for crab or lateral steering.
Switch positions anytime; the controller enforces travel limits set by the end point controls.

Modes for 2-position CH3

Rear servo still fully functional.
Push and release CH3 to cycle modes: locked → follow → oppose → locked, etc.
Rear remains locked on startup for predictable behavior.

Waterproofing and power recommendation

Water resistance: Not fully waterproof. The EPA and trim adjustment openings are the main ingress points. After you set adjustments, seal those openings with silicone or Plasti Dip to make the unit effectively waterproof for typical RC use.
Power: For rigs that add another pair of steerable wheels, use a beefy supply. Running the Dual Channel No Brainer BEC is recommended to ensure reliable servo power and eliminate browning or weak steering under high load.
